In keeping with our mission of being a true golf club for those who love the game, we are continuing our program of helping aspiring golf professionals attain their goal of playing on the PGA Tour. This season we will help sponsor one individual with ties to The Moors Golf Club. This program is referred to as, “THE MOORS TOUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF.”

There are thousands of professional golfers around the world playing on different tours and mini-tours trying to elevate their games to someday compete on the PGA Tour. These “Minor Leagues” are full of great players. We feel that our TOUR PROFESSIONAL has the ability, work ethic, and desire to ascend the ranks and make it on The PGA Tour.

Todd Vernon is the son-in-law of Moors Member Craig Platt. He met Craig's daughter, Abby, while playing in the Kalamazoo Invitational. He’s played on a number tours including the Hooters Tour and is currently competing on the Asian Tour.  Todd successfully made it to the second level (of three) of the PGA Tour Qualifying School two of the last three years and qualified 6th in the Asian Tour School this past December. Updates on how Todd is doing will be posted here and through email communications directly from written reports he will provide. He will occasionally use the Moors as his home course for practice.

We wish Todd the best of luck and look forward to watching him climb the ladder to the PGA Tour.
